Insulate Colorado
Governor's Energy Office (GEO) offers rebates of 20% of contractor cost or $300, whichever is less for insulation and air-sealing work.
- Fort Collins Utilities and GEO launched a jointly funded rebate program for homeowners that offset 20% of energy improvements, with a $500 per homeowner maximum.
Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit
- This credit covers water heaters, furnace, AC units, insulation, windows, doors, roofs, and circulating fans.
- Amount offered is 10% of envelope improvements, no more than $500 for all improvements combined.
- Equipment must be purchased in the 2009 calendar year.
- Components eligible for the credit include insulation systems, exterior doors and windows.
- Credits for windows alone may not exceed $200, and all measures combined may not exceed $500.
Colorado Springs Utilities—Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program
- Incentive amounts: Insulation and air sealing: $50, $100, $200 (varies by price); windows: $50, $100, $200 (varies by price); programmable thermostats: $15.
